What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides software support for the ThinkPad UltraNav
Pointing Device for Windows 2000/XP. With this package, ThinkPad
UltraNav Pointing Device can be easily optimized.
(Note: ThinkPad UltraNav Driver needs to be installed.)
This release supports the following systems:
- ThinkPad R40, R50, R50p, R51, R52
- ThinkPad R60
- ThinkPad T30, T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p, T43, T43p (*1)

Installation Instructions

Note:
- Software Installer provides install/(uninstall) wizard for this
package.
UNINSTALL FOR Windows 2000:
1. Start Windows 2000 and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Click Start, select Settings, and click Control Panel.
3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
4. Select IBM ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard or ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard.
5. Click Change/Remove.
6. Select a language when Choose Setup Language popup panel appears,
then click.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Finish.
UNINSTALL FOR Windows XP:
1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
2. For Windows XP with Classic Start menu, click Start,
select Settings, then click Control Panel.
Otherwise, click Start, then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
4. Select IBM ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard or ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard.
5. Click Change/Remove.
6. Select a language when Choose Setup Language popup panel appears,
and click OK.
7. Click OK.
8. Click Finish.
INSTALL FOR Windows 2000/XP:
1. Start Windows 2000/XP, and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Click Start, then click Run.
3. Click the Browse button.
4. Select the folder where ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard package
is stored.
5. Select Setup.exe.
6. Click Open.
7. Click OK.
8. Select a language when Choose Setup Language popup panel appears,
and click OK.
9. Click Next.
10. Select the folder where ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard will be installed,
then click Next.
11. Select the program folder where the program icon will be added,
then click Next.
12. Click Finish.
Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
Windows 2000/Windows XP:
1. Start Windows 2000/XP.
2. Click the UltraNav icon on the system tray.
3. Click the Launch UltraNav Wizard.
4. Click the Help option on the menu.
5. Click the About option.
6. See version number on the About dialog panel.
In case the Help option doesn't exist on the UltraNav Wizard panel,
follow the instructions below.
Windows 2000/Windows XP:
1. Start Windows 2000/XP.
2. Click the UltraNav icon on the system tray.
3. Click the Launch UltraNav Wizard.
4. See version number on the lower right portion of the Welcome
panel.
In case the UltraNav Wizard welcome panel is not displayed, follow the
instructions below.
Windows 2000:
1. Start Windows 2000.
2. Click Start, select Search, then click For Files or Folders.
3. In the Search for files or folders named: field, type UNAVWIZ.exe.
4. In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard drives (C:,D:).
5. Click the Search Now button. Windows will now search your hard
drive for UNAVWIZ.exe. If the file is not found, then the
ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard package is not installed on your system.
6. Right-click UNAVWIZ.exe.
7. Click Properties.
8. In the UNAVWIZ Properties, click the Version tab.
9. In the Item name field, click on Product Version. The value in the
right field is the version number.
Windows XP:
1. Start Windows XP.
2. For Windows XP with Classic Start Menu, click Start, select
Search, and click For Files or Folders. Otherwise, click Start,
select Search.
3. In the Search Companion panel, click All files and folders.
4. In the All or part of the file name: field, type UNAVWIZ.exe.
5. In the Look in: field, specify Local Hard drives (C:,D:).
6. Click the Search button. Windows will now search your hard drive
for UNAVWIZ.exe. If the file is not found, then the
ThinkPad UltraNav Wizard package is not installed on your system.
6. Right-click UNAVWIZ.exe.
7. Click Properties.
8. In the UNAVWIZ Properties, click the Version tab.
9. In the Item name field, click on Product Version. The value in the
right field is the version number.
UNATTENDED INSTALL FOR Windows 2000/XP:
This is for system administrators' use only.
1. Start Windows 2000/XP, and logon with administrative privileges.
2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
3. Click Start, then clck Run.
4. Type [Program Path]setup -s -SMS and click OK.
[Program Path] is the full path name where you extracted
the package in the step 2.
