Download the FDUPD02.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the FDUPD02.EXE file to begin the installation.
At the "Fdupd patch 1.02 For PCG-R505 with docking station - InstallShield Wizard" box, click Next.
At the "FDUPD" box, click OK to apply the changes and restart Windows Me.
After the computer restarts, the installation of the update is complete. You may now attach the docking station.
Uninstall Instructions
If it is necessary to reinstall the Fdupd02 utility, you will need to first remove the existing installation files. To do so, follow these steps:

NOTE: If the docking station is attached, disconnect it.
Click Start, point to Settings, and point to Control Panel.
From the Control Panel menu, click Add/Remove Programs.
At the "Add/Remove Programs Properties" box, double-click the "Uninstall Fdupd 1.02" entry.
Click "OK" to Uninstall Fdupd.

This patch resolves the following issues:
The computer fails to Resume from standby (hibernation) mode after being hotdocked with either the PCGA-DSM5 or PCGA-DSD5 SlimDock docking station.
The computer fails to enter standby (hibernation) mode after being hotdocked with either the PCGA-DSM5 or PCGA-DSD5 SlimDock docking station.
The computer occasionally fails to shutdown.
