Description:

Softex BayManager provides bay device swapping capability to Windows 95,
Windows 98, and Windows Millennium. BayManager allows you
to swap the bay devices on your portable computer without having to turn
off and on the machine. With BayManager, you can easily interchange bay
devices such as your floppy drive, CD-ROM drive or battery without the
inconvenience of having to shut off your computer.

Instructions:

1) Download the self-extracting file to your hard drive. Take note where
you choose to save the file. Dell recommends saving the file to your
Desktop.
2) Execute the downloaded file by double-clicking on it.
3) Click "Continue" after verifying from the pop-up window that this
product supports your platform and operating system.
4) Click "Ok" to extract the files to their default location.
(C:dellDriversR28223) If you don't like this directory, you can
change the destination directory. If the destination directory does not
exist, one will be created. If you are asked to confirm directory
creation, click on "Yes" to continue.
5) After the files have been extracted, click on OK to launch the
installation program.
6) Follow the installation instructions provided by the interactive setup
program.
Reboot your computer when prompted.

Changes:

Text corruptions/errors for Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and French
installations have been corrected.
Red "X" on floppy disk drive and floppy controller in the Device Manager
resulting in the absence of the floppy disk drive in My Computer issue is
resolved.
Once a Remove/Swap or Insert function has been initiated, the buttons in
the Bay Manager user interface are grayed out until the function is
complete so that users do not inadvertently log multiple function requests.
Blue screen on some systems docked to the C/Dock II when a removable
device is removed from the docking station module bay is resolved.
"Bangs" in the Device Manager when some systems are docked to the C/Dock
II are no longer manifest.
