Installation Guide

(Note)
- To determine if you should update the utility programs, refer to the
"Summary of Changes" section.
- If you installed any old version, uninstall it first, then reboot
the system.
UNINSTALL:
1. Start Windows 2000.
Logon with administrative privileges.
2. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
4. Click the Install/Uninstall (or "Change or Remove programs") tab.
5. Click Intel Speed Step technology Applet from the list.
6. Click the Add/Remove... (or "Change/Remove") button.
7. Follow instructions and restart Windows.
INSTALL:
1. Start Windows 2000.
Logon with administrative privileges.
2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
3. Click Start, then click Run...
4. Specify the SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted
the package in the step 2, and click OK. The default path is
C:DRIVERSWINSPDSTP
5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT VERSION IS INSTALLED:
Method 1)
If you have the original extracted files in the same directory as
SETUP.EXE, find the DISKSU.VER file.
The file contents indicates the version.
Method 2)
Please check the date stamp of the PRPCUI.DLL file in the following
directory.
Windows 2000 : System32
drive/directory may vary.
