Description:
What Does This Do?
This utility copies the originally installed version of the Intel® RAID Driver to a floppy disk.
NOTE: This driver is for use when performing a clean install of the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system (i.e., from a commercial, off-the-shelf, version rather than using the Recovery Wizard or Recovery Media).
Instructions:
To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
Download the INDHDC-00698618-US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the INDHDC-00698618-US.EXE file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to extract the driver files to floppy drive (A:).
At the "WinZip Self-Extractor" dialog, insert a blank formatted floppy disk into the computer's floppy disk drive, and then click "OK".
At the "WinZip Self-Extractor - INDHDC-00698618-US.EXE" dialog, click "Unzip"
NOTE: By default the utility unzips all files to the floppy disk in the A: drive.
At the "8 file(s) unzipped successfully" dialog, click "OK", and then click "Close".
The Intel® RAID Driver files have been written to the floppy disk.
How to Use the RAID Driver Disk
Begin the Microsoft® Windows® operating system setup by booting from the installation CD.
At the beginning of Windows operating system setup, press the "F6" key to install a third-party SCSI or RAID driver.
When prompted, insert the floppy disk with the RAID driver files.
After reading the floppy disk, the Intel® RAID Controller will be presented, select this driver to install.
Finish the Windows operating system installation and install all necessary drivers.
